Halloween Design 2010

Below is an picture of my 2010 Halloween design for my site.

The idea for this design came about when i was searching for firework displays around my area and Google search popped up a pumpkin.  This got me looking at Halloween web designs, as soon as I was hunting around for ideas I found my self in my sketch book brainstorming ideas and wire framing layouts.

All the images are placed using CSS Backgrounds which keeps the HTML and CSS apart which is what I wanted to achieve.

Another major thing was time, I only had three days to produce this design so had to divide my up time up.  Day 1 was all about research which included, brainstorming and wire framing and picking a colour scheme.  Day 2 was all about layout design and mocking up the design, At this point I was also testing in the browser as well tackle any issues which came up straight away to try and save time in the long run.  Day 3 was all about transferring the mock up design into WordPress and getting it all working smoothly.

I will have to admit I loved the challenge of producing a design in 3 days and I am very happy with it, This is going to start a trend that I can create a design for special holidays or times of the year.  I like being able to change the design of my site to keep it fresh.
